- (4 out of 5) ‘The Online Millionaire’ was a thoroughly enjoyable read, when you first look at the cover and see the title you think of a book which may not teach you anything you want to know. What makes ‘The Online Millionaire’ book different is the great real life case studies at the end of every chapter. The case studies describe websites that are making people money whether they are retailers or affiliates.
Each chapter in ‘The Online Millionaire’ covers a different area, if you want to sell on others sites then the following chapters are for you, including making money on ebay, how to sell on Amazon, auctions and shopping on Yahoo and other auction sites and online marketplaces.
If you want to go it alone then there are chapters on building your own web site, search engine marketing, using comparison shopping engines, advertising and affiliate programs.
The only area that lets down the ‘The Online Millionaire’ book is that some of the content is geared for the US market, as in the UK we do not have an Overstock, Half.com etc also Yahoo has now closed it’s european web auctions and has joined with ebay.
‘The Online Millionaire’ may not be a book for the advanced web seller, but it does make you think about your own business and website, the real life case studies are also very interesting and motivational.
Overall ‘The Online Millionaire’ is a great book and pretty easy to read, plus the author Amy Joyner also wrote another book called ‘The eBay Millionaire’ which may be worth checking out.
