MyCashmere is on a mission to redefine luxury, with a belief that a brand’s sustainability efforts should be held to the same regard as how it makes its pieces, and what is uses to make them. As a member of the Sustainable Fibre Alliance (SFA) MyCashmere donates and contributes to ongoing improvements of the cashmere industry, supporting and investing in pasture protection and regeneration, animal welfare and herder livelihoods, contributing to 11 out of 17 of the United Nation Sustainable Development Goals.
Each garment is made using traditional techniques from some of the world’s leading knitwear artisans. Based in Umbria in a region known as Italy’s ‘cashmere valley’, MyCashmere’s factory sits amongst the highest quality knitwear producers in the world. To ensure minimal environmental impact, and to uphold the highest standard of animal and human well-being, MyCashmere uses just 2 low-impact materials to create each collection.
- 100% SFA certified yarn - this yarn has a fully traceable supply chain that meets the highest standards for protecting goat and herder livelihoods, as well as ensuring land and soil wellbeing.
- Re-Verso Recycled Cashmere – this is made from post factory cashmere waste and is a new production process for the industry that creates a fully traced circular manufacturing loop for cashmere.
