The Story
Award-winning British actress, director, producer and entrepreneur, Sharon Maughan developed health problems due to a negative reaction to salicylates and was advised to make significant lifestyle changes and drastically limit her exposure. After deciding to reduce intake through the largest organ of the body, the skin, Sharon was unable to find a skincare range in the market that met this need, so decided to develop the solution herself.

Salicylates are naturally present in fruits and vegetables but can also be produced synthetically. Ease of manufacture has led to them being used extensively in personal care and domestic products as a cheap preservative. Although for many contact with salicylates does not pose a problem those who suffer from sensitivity may encounter negative symptoms as Sharon did.
